Abstract
The aim of this paper was to identify the status and trends in oral health behavior among Korean middle and high school
students based on the Korea Centers for Disease Prevention and Control¡¯s (KCDC) 2006-2019 Korea Youth Risk Behavior
Survey. The findings indicated that the number of middle and high school students who brushed their teeth after lunch in
school was low (four out of ten) and that the number decreased slightly. In addition, the number of middle and high school
students who received oral health education in school and who had dental sealant and dental scaling increased slightly (three out of ten). Based on these findings, this study recommended developing policies that support the prevention of oral diseases among middle and high school students.
